WEEKEND SUPPORT
Have you ever wondered what you could do to support the Northwest TEC Community?
You're excited your teen/candidate (son/daughter, grandson/granddaughter, friend, cousin,
niece/nephew, or neighbor) is making a TEC. Or maybe you've experienced a TEC yourself or through someone else and want to give back.
There are a number of ways you can help the Northwest TEC Community. Some ways include:
1. Pray. We believe in the power of prayer and your prayers leading up to, throughout, and after the weekend are very much appreciated.
2. Help in the Kitchen. This is a great way to gather with other TECites, meet parents of other teens, and help a kitchen crew who appreciate the extra hands and feet.
3. Donate fruit or cookies/brownies. One of the best parts of TEC is the food!
4. Join us for events you may have been made aware of (Mass at 5:30 pm to pray for team and candidates, etc.).
5. Make a financial donation to our scholarship fund or sponsor a teen who cannot afford a TEC weekend. We don't want any teen to miss this opportunity because of the cost of the weekend. If interested in donating or sponsoring, please send your donation to: Teens Encounter Christ, Believers Together Center 3209 60th Street, Moline, IL 61265, ATTN: Scholarship Fund.
6. Be available at the end of the weekend for your teen/candidate. He/she may be quiet and reflective or energetic and chatty. Listen to his/her sharing about the weekend when ready to share. Your teen may still have a lot to process after the weekend.
